Clay is a highly versatile and robust material, composed of diverse minerals. It is known for its adaptable properties and exceptional resistance to diverse temperatures and environments, clay has played a pivotal role in Mexican culture since pre – hispanic times.

Given their natural composition, these materials may exhibit inherent variations in color, shape, texture, and size.

Natural Clay

It is distinguished by the terracotta hue it acquires upon exiting the kiln, crafted in Santa María Atzompa, Oaxaca.

Black Clay

Renowned for its monochromatic tones, achieved through specialized firing methods, and distinguished by the distinctive sheen that burnishing imparts. Crafted in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca.

Barro Moteado Textura

Mottled Clay

Characterized by a second firing process that reveals natural markings, each piece is bestowed with a unique and organic visual effect. This material is crafted in Santa María Atzompa, Oaxaca.

White Talavera

A traditional Mexican ceramic crafted in Puebla, Mexico, since the 16th century. Various tonalities can be applied to this clay, offering a wide range of options.

Black Talavera

Care and maintenance

Clays

  • Clean with a damp microfiber cloth using a neutral cleaning product.

  • DO NOT use fibers, as they may remove or scratch the burnished finish of the material.

  • DO NOT use oil-based products, polishes, solvents, abrasives, or corrosives, as they may deteriorate or permanently alter the material’s color.

  • Handle the material with care, as it is fragile and may break easily.

Installation Precautions

Lighting products

  • When performing any electrical installation, switch off the main electrical switch.
  • It is recommended that the installation be carried out by 2 people.
  • Handle the product and materials with care. They can break, chip, crack, or shatter easily.
  • If any component is damaged during the installation process, contact us for additional support regarding replacement parts.
  • Any abnormalities in the luminaire components, please contact the brand for additional support.
  • For wall-mounted luminaires, ensure correct leveling of the mounting bracket for proper alignment of the product.
  • DO NOT use adhesives, as these products may cause discoloration of the material and/or permanent changes in the finish appearance.
  • Remove the lamp protection only at the end of the installation, as friction with other materials may cause scratches on the piece’s finish and dents in the material.
